UJAT recognizes the Institutional Prize winners for Best Thesis 2009

* The rector gave awards to the authors of the 21 winning entries in the various areas of scientific knowledge

In presenting the award for Best Institutional Thesis 2009, the rector of the Universidad Juarez Autonoma de Tabasco (UJAT) Candita Victoria Gil Jimenez acknowledged the efforts of students and teachers who through their efforts and contributions to various areas of knowledge scientific help to consolidate the University of Tabasco deserves quality.

During the ceremony as part of celebrations for the 51 Anniversary of the highest seat of learning, the Rector gave financial incentives to the 21 graduates of bachelor's and master that were selected by renowned professors from six institutions of higher education integrated into the Consortium Mexican Universities (CUMex) and special awards to the 31 teachers who served as advisors to the projects.

Referring to the performance of students, Candita Victoria Gil Jimenez welcomed the decision they took graduating in the form of theses, and unreleased tracks that will address and ingenious design proposals which contribute to solving current social problems.

"You are the best letter of recommendation from the university, therefore, we organized this event for the third consecutive year, is one of the most important in the academic life of the University," he said while thanking the teachers researchers advice to the winners.

On behalf of the winners, Juan Carlos Garcia Concepcion, thanked the UJAT the important place that provides science within the university agenda, "that motivates us to increasingly prepare to compete not only nationally but internationally," said .

For his part, Director of Research and Graduate Eliut May Santamaria said that on this occasion were evaluated areas of Health Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Social and Economic Sciences, Biotechnology and Agricultural Sciences, Biology and Chemistry, Physical -Mathematics and Earth Sciences and Humanities and Behavioral Sciences.

"Today's society demands ethical professionals with a vision of present and future, but able to influence the economic, political and social development of nations," Santamaria said Mayo.
