Federal elections approach to select the representatives of the Chamber of Deputies, the political parties have just spent the election process of their candidates by plurality 300 (will be elected by direct vote) and proportional representation 200 (will be elected by lists according to the vote obtained by each party).

Political parties have different methods to choose their candidates, the PRI elected by a convention of delegates, the PAN and the PRD part by direct appointment of the party (undemocratic) and a minority by convention. And all have their candidates and registered from 22 to 29 April.

The Director of the Federal Electoral Institute of Mexico, Marco Antonio Gomez Alcantar, at the Sixth Seminar "Management and Policy Evaluation in Mexico," held last month in Madrid, by the Center for the Study of Mexico in the European Union, proposed that the federal election will be very interesting for the results obtained from the implementation of the reforms that were made to the Federal Code of Electoral Institutions and Procedures (COFIPE).

Among the most important reforms that were made are: reduction of 70% less funding for campaigns and political parties, the ban on employing tv and radio ads to candidates or parties (the time on TV and radio will be regulated by IFE) the prohibition of slander and lies that candidates and parties, regulation of primaries, shortening of campaigns, the prohibition of receiving contributions or donations to political parties and candidates, the separation of logos on coalitions, creating a new body of comptrollership, greater powers and responsibilities to the IFE.

They endow the IFE poderíos as arbiter of the contest, I hope you know all the procedures instruct both administrative, regulatory powers and to interpret and give life to the provisions of COFIPE.

The participation of Judge of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation in Mexico (Trife) Constancio Carrasco Daza, said the aim of these reforms was the product of the last Presidential election and seeks to avoid presenting irregularities such as occurred in 2006 .

He stressed that the Trife ensures the protection of political rights of citizens election and guarantee of the militants, sympathizers and political organizations for the elections.

In Tabasco started the local elections on March 15, the Electoral Institute of Citizen Participation and Tabasco (IEPCT) prepares for the elections on October 18, we will select 21 deputies by plurality, 14 by proportional representation and 17 municipalities. Formally starts now, because the integrated IEPCT structures of 38 district boards and municipal governments, and the entire organization of the elections, with a budget of 355 million pesos.

Hopefully these officials act in a transparent, clean, fair, legal and honest, according to the guidelines of the Election Law of Tabasco, which was also amended by the Local Congress.

The IFE as IEPCT are not well regarded by bodies citizenship, are required to work fairly and even attached a democratic regime, to gain sympathy and trust of society.

The Tabasco deserve credible and fair elections, to perform with confidence our right to vote and be assured that our decisions will be respected when electing our representatives.
