THE president of Mexico made a State visit to Spain from 11 to 15 June where he met with the Kings of Spain Juan Carlos and Sofia, Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, legislators, employers and other sectors. Â Accompanied by the Governors of the State of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, of Chiapas, Juan Sabines and Baja California, Jose Guadalupe Osuna.
Felipe Calderon, his first visit ended   fulfilled in order that the Spanish companies established in Mexico "will continue to invest and more" and there will be new ones that will. "I assure you that Spanish investment in Mexico will continue to flow," Calderon said before leading Spanish business representatives at a luncheon organized by the New Economy Forum in Madrid.
That was one of the goals of his trip to Spain, marking an economic, during which he also explained the proposed energy reform that the Mexican Congress to strengthen Pemex and expand their production capacity. This reform, he said, increases Mexico's proven reserves, the ability of oil and gas production and refining capacity of Pemex.
Outside the economic sphere, the president noted agreement on recruitment of Mexican workers in Spain "that will serve Spain and Mexico." They are the most important results of a state visit to Calderón closed in Madrid where he was fired, along with his wife Margarita Zavala, by King Juan Carlos and Sofia.
  In Zaragoza, where a World Water Expo, Calderon warned that the vulnerability of the water can become, if we act now, a factor that generates more poverty and more hunger in the world, now exacerbated by economic conditions prevailing shortages and rising prices.
At the same Expo was held at the Day of Mexico, President Felipe Calderon, also opened the Mexico Pavilion, amid a festive atmosphere created by the mariachi, which caught his racket in Spanish who gathered.
In his message at the Expo Zaragoza 2008, the Mexican president said that "our country is calling on all nations and all men, women, good will to redouble efforts in the defense of water."
