Granier Meets commitments to young people, receive college scholarships affected by the contingency

 120 thousand higher education students who were affected by the flood received academic stimuli National Scholarship Program (PRONABES), which were delivered by Governor Andrés Rafael Granier Melo, who thus fulfilled a commitment to the youth of the entity.

 The president assured that this support will not stop here, since it will continue efforts with the Federation to have a greater number of resources to keep running the social support programs for the poor people and to the completion of works to provide greater security to the heritage of the people of Tabasco.

He stressed that throughout the year and a half, over 500 students have received a grant from the state government to pursue postgraduate studies in the rest of the country and abroad, in order to prepare and contribute to the knowledge acquired the transformation of Tabasco, while during 2007 has reached more than nine thousand 500 students of higher education with PRONABES.

 This is a sign that the state government is concerned about actions that contribute to the growth of the state, providing programs through various tools that require the student community for their professional development, emphasized to the secretary of the Department, Rosa Beatriz Luque Greene.

At the event held at the Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM), attended by the head of the Directorate of Scholarships of the Ministry of Education, Â Valenti Gilberto Ramirez, Granier Melo stressed that one of the most important commitments of its administration raise the quality of education in the state and expand the offer to young people have greater opportunities to take vocational training.
