In this sense, Granier Melo opened in the Institute of Technology Business Development Center, computer center, laboratories and workshops of the careers of Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial and Biochemistry, for the benefit of one thousand eight students. He also distributed computers for faculty and scholarships for students.

During a tour of the facility, Perez Herrera reported that one of the projects of the institute is the Business Incubation Centre in the Region of the Sierra (CIERS), which exerted almost 790 thousand dollars with a total of 17 initiatives already generate some 60 new jobs.
